STOVE PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON/IGNITE

Make sure that your electric stove or oven is plugged in and that the circuit breakers are on if it will not turn on. If your gas stove or oven will not light, check the pilot light. Call for repairs. Usually, the problem is a bad infinite switch, damaged surface element, broken burner igniter, or a bake and broil element that is not working correctly.

BURNER/OVEN WON’T HEAT

When the oven does not heat up it typically has a broken bake element or the oven sensor is malfunctioning. A burner won’t turn on when it has a broken element, damaged terminal block, or a bad burner switch. These are things we can fix in an hour or two and on the same day that you call.

TIMER/PROGRAM ISSUES

You can bet that the control board on your stove is broken when the timer or program settings do not work right. The control board almost always needs to be replaced. We replace control boards for GE, Sears, Samsung, Kenmore, LG, and other brands of ranges and stoves. We always provide a warranty on any control boards and other parts we need for this oven repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You want a hot oven, but not hot it burns the food. If this is the case with your oven give us a call. A too-hot oven can be dangerous. The problem is usually that a sensor is not working properly or the thermostat is broken. Do not try to fix this on your own. Call us!.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A stove problem we frequently see is that the igniter will glow but not light. The reason this happens that a safety valve is broken, a surface igniter is not working correctly, an electronic control is shot, or a temperature sensor has been damaged. We will check this out and either repair or replace the damaged part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

A frustrating issue with some newer self-cleaning ovens is that the door will not open when the cleaning cycle finishes. We check seals, thermostats, and door latches to see which is causing the trouble and fix this problem on the spot.
